You can enroll for Open UAS studies for a maximum of 50 credits per semester. Enrolments that exceed 50 credits will be removed in the order of enrolments.

Learning outcomes:
After completing this course the student: 
- Knows the normal growth and development of children.
 - Knows the special features of children and young people and can apply this knowledge to nursing.
 - Can apply knowledge about anatomy and physiology, applied pharmacology and medication to nursing children and young people.
 - Knows the most common diseases of children and young people to nursing.
 - Can take into account and support the family as part of nursing children and young people.

This course includes the following main contents:

The course includes recorded lectures, learning tasks, independent work as well as tests.
The course covers 3 ECTS credits, totalling 81 hours of student work. The number of hours is theoretical and varies according to student effort.

The teacher has one month to give a grade after the student has completed all learning tasks. We will send you an electronically signed transcript of records within about a week after you have received the grade in the Peppi system. The transcript serves as a document if, for example, you are applying for credit for your studies at another university. Studies can also be credited at Xamk if you come to us as a degree student.
