Note that you can enrol for Open UAS studies at the maximum of 50 ECTS credits per semester. One person’s enrolments exceeding 50 ECTS credits are deleted in the enrolment order. Paying attention to this is important when planning your studies.

Sustainability in demand-supply chains 2 ECTS cr

  • The student knows what is ethical demand-supply chain and what sustainability and company responsibility mean in demand-supply chains.
  • The student is familiar with the significance of ethics and need for creating ethical demand-supply chains.

Monitoring and measuring 1 ECTS cr

  • The student knows the basic methods of measuring sustainability.

Government´s role 1 ECTS cr

  • The student knows the government´s role in promoting sustainability.

Promotion of ethics 1 ECTS cr

  • The student knows how lean and green thinking support ethical operaiton in demand-supply chains.

Contents and methods:

Sustainability in demand-supply chains 2 ECTS cr

  • What are logistics and SCM/DSCM?
  • What is ethical operation in demand-supply chains?
  • What factors encourage and constrain ethical practices in demand-supply chains?

Monitoring and Measuring 1 ECTS cr

  • Why and how to measure sustainability?

Government´s role 1 ECTS cr

  • What is the role of the government in promoting company responsibility?

Supporting Ethicality 1 ECTS cr

  • How do lean management and green logistics support ethical operation?

The course covers 5 ECTS credits, totalling 135 hours of student work. The number of hours is theoretical and varies according to student effort.

Assessment methods and criteria:
Assessment is based on exams and assignments on Learn. Scale 0 (fail) – 5 (excellent).
